Beauman-Family Roots

For those that don't know, the Beauman roots go back to Alsace, France, which was once part of Germany. Alsace, originally Germany, is shown in red on the map of France posted below. The U.S. Census shows our great-grandparents immigrating from Germany or France depending on what year the census was taken. Alsace and Lorraine, both transferred back and forth between the two countries depending on who won the war at the time. It is mostly French speaking today. Many of the older generation still speak German. The Beauman surname is not too common, but can be found in Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, Belgian, and throughout the United States.
Alsace shown in "red", marks our family roots.

PS: I thought it would be a good idea to expand our family blog, by posting things about the family that few may know. So, let me begin with a question: Why am I shown as "John Beauman" on Facebook when the Beauman family cousins call me "Jerry"?

Do you have something that you would like to share with your cousins? Let me know at johnbeauman2@aol.com   We can call it: "Getting to know you!"

PSS: You can post additional photos on Facebook or send them to me via my email and I will post them on this Cousins' blog, or do both.

COUSINS CORNER was originated on Facebook by Cousin Christopher Beauman who joined Facebook to make contact with his cousins. Chris lives on the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea, situated between Britain and Ireland, as shown in red on map below:
